The Dodekagramm or the Twelve star goes back to the number mysticism, which has gained in different world cultures and ethnicities in various forms: In astronomy the twelve calendar months and the twelve phases of the moon, and in the twelve zodiac signs. In astrology, the twelve-star represents the Wheel of Fortune.
Furthermore, reference is made here only briefly on the symbolism of the number 12: the tribes of Israel, the number of apostle in New Testament, Arthurian knights round, the number of Greek or Germanic gods, the twelve raw nights between 24 December and 6 January etc.
